About the Role

Country Critters Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Chief of Staff to lead our dedicated clinical team and ensure the highest standards of veterinary care. This leadership position combines veterinary medicine expertise with hospital operations and team management. You will partner with the Hospital Manager to achieve financial goals, improve operational processes, and maintain a positive, supportive work environment.

 

About Country Critters Veterinary Hospital
Located in Daleville, Indiana, Country Critters is a full-service companion animal hospital offering medical, surgical, dental, and urgent care services. Our hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, including digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, an in-house IDEXX lab, and a therapy laser. We pride ourselves on fostering a culture of learning and collaboration, providing a positive and supportive environment where every team member is valued.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and mentor associate veterinarians (DVMs) and licensed veterinary technicians (LVTs).
  • Manage performance reviews, training, and development for the clinical team.
  • Address client concerns and ensure the delivery of exceptional medical care.
  • Partner with the Hospital Manager to meet hospital financial and operational goals.
  • Establish and maintain clinical protocols, standards of care, and ensure best practices.
  • Assist with the hiring and onboarding of new veterinary staff.
  • Review and analyze hospital performance and clinical outcomes to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • DVM/VMD with at least 2 years of veterinary experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in hospital management and business operations a plus.
  • Passion for fostering team development and well-being.
